CODE OF CONDUCT FOR STUDENTS

  • All the learners must be in their seats before the educator enters the class. They must cooperate with the Group Leaders when the educator is not in the class.
  • Children should always be clean and neatly dressed. The school uniform is to be worn on all school days and for all school functions. Those who do not wear proper school uniforms will be sent home and/ or fined.
  • All learners are expected to attend school on all working days. In the case of absenteeism, a written leave application duly signed by the parent must be submitted.
  • Learners are not allowed to receive visitors or phone calls during school hours except in case of an emergency. No 'Short Leave' from school shall be granted without an authorization letter from the parents and that too scarcely.
  • No learner can leave the school premises during school hours except with the written permission of the Principal or Vice-Principal or Headmistress.
  • Any verbal requests to allow any learner to go home will not be complied with, a written application is mandatory in all cases.
  • Learners must take responsibility for their own belongings. The name, class, and section of the learner should be clearly marked on all their belongings.
  • Do take good care of your belongings so that they do not get lost. Learners are not allowed to wear any ornaments or expensive watches. Lending or borrowing of money amongst the learners is strictly prohibited.
  • Learners are not allowed to bring to school mobile phones, i-pods, transistors, tape-recorders, C.D.s, calculators, cameras, video games, and other electronic gadgets, books, magazines, comics, or any other literature which may be considered objectionable. Such material will be confiscated.
  • Bringing crackers, explosives and other dangerous material to the school is an offense and will lead to suspension or rustication.
  • Learners are not allowed to bring any vehicle to the school.
  • Every learner must participate actively in singing/ dancing, physical education and cultural activity classes, games, and other school activities. All the school activities are an integral & compulsory part of the school curriculum for the all-round personality development of children.
  • All learners are responsible for their behavior in and around the school premises.
  • Learners should take care of the school property. They should not write or scratch on the desk, chairs, walls, or doors of the school; nor should they damage property belonging to others. Any damage done to the school property must be reported immediately and remedied by the offender. The decision of the Principal in the matter will be final and binding.
  • Shouting or whistling is not allowed in the school premises. When changing classes, the learners must walk in silence.
  • Bullying, using foul language, or using any form of violence against a fellow learner will lead to suspension or rustication.
  • Report on violence in any form in and around the school may result in the rustication of the learners involved.
  • Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, neglect of homework, frequent late arrivals, willful disobedience, or conduct injurious to the tone and discipline of the school will be seriously dealt with.
  • Harmful conduct, contempt of authorities, or/ and engaging in any objectionable activity in and around the school premises, rude, rowdy, or disorderly behaviour either during or beyond school hours, or willful damage to school property will lead to suspension or rustication.
  • The school premises/corridor and especially classrooms must be kept neat and clean. The class cupboard must be properly maintained.
  • When the school is in session, the learners are strictly forbidden to leave the class without the educator's permission or the class out-passes. They should not be found roaming in groups during class hours.
  • During recess and before the assembly no learner should create any kind of indiscipline in the classroom or corridor.
  • Learners are warned not to buy eatables from street vendors outside the school.
  • Everyone must remember that English is our Campus language. All the learners must speak in English within the class and in school premises. English conversation as far as possible should be maintained at home as well.
  • Learners should go home straight after school instead of visiting friends or attending parties. Requests for any deviation from normal routine are not entertained.
  • A learner who uses unfair means during a test will not be given any marks in that test. Repetition of the same or any learner who is found tampering with marks in the Report Card and other School Certificates will be dealt with strict action.
  • Learners must attend all the open days with their parents, in proper school uniform.
  • Privative tuition is discouraged. More emphasis should be given to the self-study routine.

ATIENDANCE AND WITHDRAWAL RULES

  • It is compulsory for learners of all classes to complete 80% of their attendance in the academic year to make them eligible to appear for their Final Examination. The percentage, however, could be relaxed only on medical grounds and solely at the discretion of the Principal.
  • If a learner remains absent from the school without leave for more than 07 consecutive days, his/her name is liable to be struck off the rolls of the school. Re-admission may be allowed on payment of the fresh admission fee and solely at the discretion of the Principal.
  • All are expected to attend classes on the opening day of school after vacations. Absence for more than 05 days after vacations renders the students liable to have his/ her name struck off the school rolls.
  • If suffering from any illness, learners must not be sent to school. To start attending school once recovered, a Fitness Certificate from the Doctor who treated the learner needs to be submitted. It is also important to inform the Principal in writing.
  • In case of withdrawal of a student, it should be made known to the Principal in writing, one calendar month in advance or else one month's fees will be charged.
  • Any verbal requests to allow any learner to go home will not be complied with, a written application is mandatory in all cases.
  • School Leaving Certificate is not issued until all dues of the school are settled/ paid in full.
  • School Leaving Certificate will be issued at the end of the academic year i.e. after 31st March

GENERAL REGULATIONS

Dear Parents,
S N Convent School fraternity welcomes you to be a part of the prestigious SN Convent School family. We are sure your ward will enjoy the warmth and sagacity throughout his/her stay in the school. We would like to mention here some important points, which are required to be complied with:-

  • Parents have to ensure that their ward(s) come to school in proper school uniform as prescribed by the school.
  • Late arrival to school is not allowed, defaulting students will not be allowed to attend the school for that day as it hampers the discipline & decorum of the school.
  • The school fee or any other dues must be submitted as per the fee payment schedule, else it leads to unnecessary wastage of time in giving reminders/ telephone calls. Please follow the deadlines. If the school fee is not paid by the last working day of the month in which the fee is due, the name of the defaulting student(s) will be struck off from the school rolls without notice/ correspondence from the school.
  • The Parents' Identity Card must always be brought and produced at the school gate whenever any parent visits the school for any purpose. The security guards/ staff will allow the parents/authorised guardians inside the school gates only when they are shown the parent/authorised guardian I-Card.
  • Due to safety and security reasons, students will not be allowed to enter the school premises 15 minutes prior to the stipulated school timings or stay any longer than 15 minutes after the dispersal. Parents are advised to make their arrangements accordingly. Outside the school gates/ premises, it is the parent's responsibility to ensure the safety of their ward(s).
  • While picking up student(s) from the school, the parents/ guardian are required to show/ produce the I-Cards issued by the school authorities to the security guards/ staff and in case any other member of the family desires to pick a student from the school, he/ she will also be required to show/ produce I-Card issued by the school authorities having his/ her photo or an authorization letter on behalf of the parent of the concerned student(s).
  • All reasonable safety precautions are followed by the school and the school authorities are very cautious about the safety and welfare of students.  However, the school authorities/ management will not be responsible for any unforeseen eventualities whatsoever while taking part in any curricular, co-curricular, or extracurricular activities/ or while taking part in games and sports/ or during traveling or excursions, outings, picnics, camps/ or during any other normal activities/ or by contacting any illness or disease(s) inside or outside the school premises. 
  • Students' involvement in acts of indiscipline, physical, mental, or emotional violence, or use of abusive/ foul language, will not be acceptable at all leading to suspension or rustication from the school without notice. The decision of the school authorities shall be final and binding in this regard.
  • The rules and regulations printed in the school website and almanac can be modified at any point of time, at the sole discretion of the school management.
  • All photographs, videos, or publications of the students of S N Convent School produced/ clicked during school activities- curricular, extracurricular, or co-curricular shall be the school's intellectual property and the school shall have all rights to use them in the school's publications and promotions, etc. The parents shall have no claim whatsoever on such articles.
  • The school will require a minimum period of 10 working days from the date of receipt of any request/ application from the parent(s) so as to process the same.
  • In case of any dispute(s), the arbitrator and courts at Kaushambi shall have the jurisdiction.
  • Please intimate the school authorities in writing in case of any changes in your residential address, telephone nos., etc. with a photocopy of the proof of residence duly self-attested so as to avoid any communication gap in case of an emergency that may happen during school hours.
  • Please intimate in writing the loss/ damage of Students'/ Parents' Identity Card immediately along with its cost for issuing a duplicate one.
  • During school hours, parents will not be allowed to roam inside the school premises. Kindly adhere to all the safety norms and checks put in place by the school security staff.
  • For fruitful collaboration, please make it a point to attend all the PEMs and other meetings whenever called for. As a respectable equal partner in your child's education, parents are expected to visit the school, dressed up formally and smartly & participate in all activities of the school, wholeheartedly. Your suggestions & inputs are always welcome.
